Kearny Bank announced the promotion of Verona resident Taryn Rockwell to the position of executive director of the KearnyBank Foundation. In this elevated role, Rockwell will assume responsibility for the oversight and direction of all foundation operations.
Based at the bank’s corporate offices in Fairfield, the KearnyBank Foundation focuses its mission on improving lives across the communities it serves through financial grants and employee volunteerism.
Rockwell, who joined Kearny Bank in 2013 and previously served as the Shareholder Relations Liaison, has been integral to the foundation’s success since its inception.
“Taryn has played a key role with the foundation since it was established in 2015,” Craig Montanaro, Kearny Bank president and CEO said. “Her efforts have helped it consistently fulfill its mission, year after year. I’m confident that with her as its Executive Director, the foundation will be even more effective in helping people in communities where we have the privilege of conducting business.”
The KearnyBank Foundation has demonstrated a significant commitment to local non-profits, awarding more than $3.8 million in grants since 2020. Grant recipients have included organizations like Junior Achievement of New Jersey, Chilton Medical Center, the African American Chamber of Commerce, and Table to Table. The foundation primarily emphasizes support for causes related to education, housing, community betterment, and quality of life.
