MAD Global bolsters Ohio presence with addition of veteran policy expert Bridget McAuliffe

MAD Global Strategy Group, a public affairs firm with deep roots in New Jersey and the Tri-State area, announced Tuesday that lobbyist Bridget McAuliffe has joined the firm as senior vice president in its Ohio office.

The move marks a significant expansion for the firm—founded by New Jersey political veteran Mike DuHaime—as it continues to scale its footprint across the regional corridors of Columbus, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.

McAuliffe joins MAD Global with a reputation as one of the most effective advocates in Ohio’s “Capitol Square.” Her expertise is particularly deep in the health care sector, where she has successfully represented hospitals, mental health organizations, and pharmacy interests.

Beyond health care, her portfolio spans:

  • Infrastructure & Utilities: Transportation, energy, and natural resources.
  • Social Advocacy: Suicide prevention and initiatives addressing homelessness.
  • Legislative Strategy: Navigating state operating budgets and government procurement.

By bringing McAuliffe on board, MAD Global is doubling down on its “holistic advocacy” approach. The firm, which already operates as a trusted partner for organizations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, is increasingly focused on the intersection of complex regulatory challenges and legislative strategy.

“Bridget has earned the respect of her peers and policymakers through years of thoughtful, effective advocacy,” Jai Chabria, partner at MAD Global Strategy said. “That balance has made her one of the most trusted voices around Capitol Square, and that credibility is invaluable to our clients.”

DuHaime echoed that sentiment, noting that building a top-tier organization requires professionals with both “deep experience and earned respect.”

Before joining MAD Global, McAuliffe served as a Government Affairs Professional at Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Her commitment to the industry is reflected in her past role as president of the Ohio Lobbying Association.

A dedicated civic leader, she has also held leadership positions with:

  • Prevent Blindness Ohio (secretary and development committee).
  • Foundation Fighting Blindness (Columbus Chapter co-founder).
  • American Marketing Association (past president, Columbus Chapter).

“MAD Global is building a formidable presence in Ohio,” McAuliffe said. “I’m eager to work alongside professionals who understand how policy, politics, and communications intersect to deliver meaningful results.”
