Madison film-making company to focus on AI content creation

Women-owned video production company Awakened Films, based in Madison, announced it will focus on AI-assisted content creation, social media marketing, and scalable digital storytelling for corporate and nonprofit organizations.

Awakened Films has grown into a national leader that serves health care organizations, educational institutions, and nonprofit leaders.

Gillian Schuler, co-founder and executive producer of Awakened Films, said in a release that AI-supported workflows allow it to help clients move faster while preserving the required human storytelling and strategic thinking.

AI-enabled content creation is a central driver of modern brand communication, particularly as marketing and communications departments are adapting to higher content demand across digital, social, and streaming platforms, the company said in a release.

Awakened Films has partnered with organizations ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to national nonprofits and global brands, helping leadership teams translate complex ideas into clear, emotionally resonant visual narratives.

In August, the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission (NJMPTVC) announced that filming of the Netflix comedy Happy Gilmore 2 generated a record $152.5 million in qualified spending over its 64 days of production in the state.

This made it the highest-spending production in New Jersey since the state’s Film and Digital Media Tax Credit Program was reinstated in 2018.
