The New Jersey Bankers Association (NJBankers), in partnership with the George Dean Callas Family, has announced that Julie Olters is the recipient of the 6th Annual Constantine G. Callas Progressive Educational & Work Ethic Memorial Scholarship.
Olters, a resident of Point Pleasant, serves as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Manasquan Bank. She was awarded the $2,000 scholarship, which supports employees of NJ financial institutions committed to continuing education in the finance field. The scholarship is sponsored by George Callas, a retired NJBankers Associate Member, in memory of his father’s entrepreneurial spirit and belief in education.
“Julie demonstrates maturity, attention to detail, focus and professional determination, which is how she approaches her career and desire to progress within her employment at Manasquan Bank,” George Callas said. “I am confident she will reach her goals and effectively use the resources available to her to meet her objectives and be a major contributor to the growth of the bank.”
Olters, who joined Manasquan Bank in 2019, has built her career from the Human Resources team and is currently transitioning into her new role. She holds a B.A. from Rowan University, is a recipient of the 2023 NJBankers Rising Star Award, and is on track to complete her M.A. in Organizational Leadership at Rider University in December 2025. She also holds the Certified Professional designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Reflecting on the honor, Olters said, “This award is a reminder that every step forward, no matter how small, is worth it, and that believing in yourself can open doors you never expected.”
