Neptune City’s Coral Harbor Rehab & Healthcare launches state’s first in-facility hemodialysis unit

Coral Harbor Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility in Neptune City, has announced the opening of a new, on-site hemodialysis unit. This marks the first time a skilled nursing facility in New Jersey has offered this service, which is operated in partnership with Dialyze Direct, a national leader in home dialysis services.

The new four-chair unit, under the direction of nephrologist Dr. Sushil Mehandru, and supported by Elmer Sadiang-Abay, complements Coral Harbor’s existing chronic kidney disease management program, which includes peritoneal dialysis services. The unit is uniquely equipped to treat patients who are dependent on a tracheostomy.

“With its talented leadership and team, Coral Harbor has deep experience caring for those living with chronic kidney disease and providing the highest level of care,” Kate Bauer, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Coral Harbor, said. “The center is pleased to partner with Dialyze Direct…for this new offering.”

The addition of the dialysis unit is part of Coral Harbor’s ongoing effort to introduce specialized care programs to meet local demand. This includes the recently launched OrthoWIN program, a subacute care model for orthopedic recovery. The facility, located at 2050 6th Avenue, is also a CMS Five-Star rated nursing home, an American Heart Association certified skilled nursing center, and was recognized as one of America’s Best Nursing Homes 2025 by Newsweek.

Marquis Health Consulting Services, based in Brick, provides administrative consulting to skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities across the Eastern Seaboard.
