Vorhees-based New Jersey Urology (NJU), an affiliate of U.S. Urology Partners, has announced the appointment of Dr. Chidebelu Ufodike as its new chief operating officer. A veteran with over 25 years of experience in healthcare operations and pharmacy, Ufodike joins the leadership team to oversee the organization’s sprawling network of more than 20 locations across central and southern New Jersey.
Ufodike transitions to NJU following a high-impact tenure at Walgreens Boots Alliance. During his time there, he managed a staggering $75 billion in pharmacy inventory and spearheaded the operational integration of nearly 2,000 Rite Aid locations—a $19 billion revenue merger that stands as one of the largest retail healthcare integrations in U.S. history.
His expertise spans:
- Operational Infrastructure: Building scalable models that allow clinicians to focus on patient care.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Strengthening inventory strategy across thousands of nationwide locations.
- Value-Based Care: Supporting the launch of integrated healthcare platforms like Walgreens Health.
At New Jersey Urology, Ufodike will focus on enhancing the infrastructure that supports the practice’s physicians while expanding access to novel service lines. NJU is currently a leading provider of urology and cancer care services, backed by the global investment firm General Atlantic through its partnership with U.S. Urology Partners.
