Norman’s Hallmark expands Woodbridge presence with new full-format store at Cloverleaf Shopping Center

Norman’s Hallmark, a national employee-owned card and gift retailer, has officially opened its doors at the newly developed Cloverleaf Shopping Center. Located at 1006 St. Georges Ave. in the Avenel section of Woodbridge, the 4,900-square-foot store marks a significant expansion for the brand within a high-traffic Middlesex County retail corridor.

The new location features Norman’s “full-format” layout, designed to offer a modern and inviting environment for shoppers seeking social expression products and specialized home décor.

The opening places Norman’s Hallmark alongside the recently opened Sprouts Farmers Market, which serves as the center’s primary anchor. The location was chosen for its strategic positioning between two major highways and its status as a well-established retail destination.

“Woodbridge has long been a sought-after market for us, and we are pleased to bring one of our full-format stores to the community,” Howard Henschel, president and CEO of Norman’s Hallmark said. “Cloverleaf Shopping Center is an exceptional location—brand new, upscale, and positioned within a well-established retail corridor… it’s an ideal fit and a great place for us to be.”

While now based in Newtown, Pa., Norman’s Hallmark has deep New Jersey ties, tracing its history back over 85 years to a single storefront in Trenton. Today, the company operates 100 locations across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

The Avenel store will feature a comprehensive inventory beyond traditional Hallmark cards, including:

  • Exclusive Brands: Partnerships with Vera Bradley, Yankee Candle, Scout Bags, and Life is Good.
  • Gourmet Selections: Specialty treats from Stonewall Kitchen and David Bradley Chocolatier.
  • Collectibles: A full line of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments and Willow Tree figurines.
  • Lifestyle Goods: Fashion apparel, accessories, books, stationery, and home décor.

The opening comes as brick-and-mortar specialty retail continues to see a resurgence in New Jersey’s suburban markets, driven by grocery-anchored centers that prioritize convenience and high-end lifestyle brands.
