Rockefeller Group acquires 100-acre site in Pemberton for logistics center development

Rockefeller Group recently announced it acquired a 100-acre development site in Pemberton with plans to construct a major two-building industrial project totaling 486,850 square feet.

The land acquisition, located at 2554 Route 206, was facilitated by Jonathan Klear, senior vice president, and Fred Meyer, executive vice president, of NAI Mertz. NAI Mertz has also been tapped to market the finished project, named 206 Logistics Center, for build-to-suit lease or sale opportunities.

The development is set to become a strategically positioned logistics hub in Southern New Jersey, designed to meet the growing needs of distribution and logistics users.

“Working with Rockefeller Group on this transaction has been truly rewarding,” Klear said, who, along with NAI Mertz President Scott Mertz, will be representing the project. “206 Logistics Center is expected to be a significant addition to the industrial market offering excellent access to major transportation corridors such as Route 206, I-295 and the New Jersey Turnpike, as well as a strong labor pool.”

The two industrial buildings will feature modern specifications tailored for large-scale operations, including:

  • Ceiling Heights: 36’ clear and 40’ clear

  • Power: 3,000 amps

  • Sprinkler System: ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response)

  • Parking: Ample trailer parking

The acquisition and subsequent development underscore the continued strength and demand for high-quality industrial and distribution space in the New Jersey market.
