Rothkoff Law Group to host 8th annual Elder Care Symposium highlighting ‘Trailblazers of the Industry’

Rothkoff Law Group is set to host its 8th Annual Elder Care Symposium on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Live! Philadelphia Casino and Hotel Event Center. This year’s event, themed “Trailblazers of the Industry,” will shine a light on individuals who are making significant impacts in the lives of the elderly through innovation and dedication.

Jerold Rothkoff, the firm’s founder and senior partner, emphasized that the symposium is more than just a conference. “This event has always been about more than sharing information and instead about sparking ideas that truly change lives,” he said. The symposium aims to celebrate those who are reshaping elder care with “innovation and heart.”

The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. John Brose, a national authority on elder care psychology and founder of Minnesota’s Associated Clinic of Psychology. Brose’s presentation, “The Basics of the Older Adult Mental Health Continuum,” will draw from his 45 years of direct experience with aging populations. A former advocate for behavioral health in elder care, Brose has a history of pushing for greater honesty, dignity, and accountability in the field.

In addition to the keynote, the symposium will feature other nationally recognized leaders in aging services. They will lead presentations and discussions on a range of topics designed to help older adults and their caregivers navigate various challenges. Key subjects will include mental health, suicide prevention, innovative dementia care models, pharmacogenomics, changes in Medicare, and the future of death care.

The event will also include the annual Caregiver Award, recognizing an individual who exemplifies the trailblazing spirit of the symposium’s theme.

Rothkoff Law Group, which has seven offices across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, specializes in a wide range of services for seniors and their families, including care planning and Medicaid and asset protection. The firm is also certified to offer continuing education credits for professionals in various disciplines, such as social work and health care administration.
