Rutgers University has announced the launch of R House, a new online store designed to be the ultimate one-stop shop for all university merchandise. The e-commerce site, built on the Shopify platform, brings together a vast selection of Rutgers-branded apparel, accessories, housewares and gifts under a single digital roof.
The new store, owned and operated by All Colors, a long-time Rutgers licensee, is a strategic move by the university to enhance its connection with students, alumni, and fans. R House addresses a common frustration for consumers: the need to visit multiple licensed vendors for specific or hard-to-find items.
“In the past, you might search one retailer for a Rutgers dog collar and another for a School of Engineering sweatshirt. Now it’s all in one place, with one seamless checkout process,” Rebecca Boucher, assistant vice president of brand, marketing, and creative services at Rutgers said.
R House’s product lineup includes items unique to Rutgers’ individual schools and campuses, such as sunglasses, watches and party supplies. The store’s consolidation of these items into a single platform aims to eliminate the hassle of multiple checkout processes and shipping fees, making it easier for the Rutgers community to show their scarlet spirit.
The university plans to regularly add new and unique items to the store, which can be found online at R HOUSE.
