Building on a year of “historic growth,” Florham Park-based Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP has announced the appointment of Noah Shier as counsel. Shier joins the firm’s Corporate and Business Law and Intellectual Property Practice Groups, marking the latest expansion in the firm’s 2026 strategic growth trajectory.
Shier arrives at the Florham Park-based firm following a successful tenure in the technology and intellectual property departments of two prominent “Big Law” firms in New York City. His addition is seen as a key move in Schenck Price’s mission to scale its sophisticated service offerings for a diversifying client base.
Shier’s practice is characterized by a high degree of technical and legal synergy. He specializes in:
- M&A and Transactions: Mergers and acquisitions, post-closing integration, and due diligence.
- Corporate Governance: Entity formation, structure issues, and commercial agreements.
- Tech & IP: Licensing, cybersecurity, and data privacy matters.
His background is particularly tailored toward the fintech, information technology, and healthcare technology sectors, where he has represented both public and private entities in complex transactional matters.
What sets Shier apart from his peers is his deep-rooted technical expertise. Before entering the legal field, he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Engineering Management Systems from Columbia University. This technical foundation was further solidified during his years as a reliability engineer for Hasbro, Inc.
“As the firm grows, we are providing services to our clients in increasingly complex and sophisticated matters,” John Ursin, managing partner at Schenck Price said. “Noah is a very bright, extremely capable young attorney. He joins us from one of the prominent M&A firms in NYC and will immediately become a vital asset to our team.”
