Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP is pleased to announce that Frank Helverson (“Jay”) has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its International Tax Advisory Practice Group. The addition of Helverson, an attorney with decades of experience in cross-border tax planning, is part of the firm’s continuing strategic expansion.
Helverson’s practice focuses on advising companies, institutional investors, and investment funds on international tax matters. His expertise includes assisting Western European, Nordic, UK, and Canadian companies with U.S. inbound tax planning and cross-border investment structures.
Before joining Schenck Price, Helverson was a lead partner at an international tax advisory firm and served as a Director at a Big Four accounting firm in Frankfurt, Germany. He has also published extensively on topics such as cross-border taxation and private equity.
John Ursin, managing partner of Schenck Price, stated that the hiring of Helverson is a significant milestone for the firm’s corporate law department.
“As the corporate law department has grown, an increasing and significant number of our clients have inbound or outbound international business interests,” Ursin said. “Jay has decades of experience in counselling clients on international tax issues. SPSK clients will benefit by having access to a leader in this specialized field.”
Helverson holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
