Spencer Savings Bank awards almost $40K in scholarships to local high school students

Spencer Savings Bank recently held a ceremony at its facility in Elmwood Park where it awarded nearly $40,000 in scholarships to exceptional high school seniors for college tuition assistance.

Scholarship recipients and their families attended a ceremony held at the Spencer Savings Bank financial center in Elmwood Park. At the ceremony, students were awarded their scholarships, enjoyed a delicious dinner and connected with the bank’s executive and senior leadership teams. awarded almost $40,000 in scholarships to local high school graduates.

Students from various New Jersey school districts across the state each received $1,500, celebrated with their families during a dinner and a chance to connect with the bank’s executive and senior leadership teams.

Since its inception in 2002, Spencer Savings has awarded over $700,000.

“Supporting continuing education means investing in the future of the community, empowering individuals and fostering lifelong learning,” Jose Guerrero, chairman and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank said. “We are proud to champion education and lifelong learning.
