The Stockton University Foundation will host its annual Golf Classic on Sept. 15, at the scenic Renault Winery and Resort. The event aims to raise crucial funds for student scholarships and various university initiatives.
The tournament will feature an Early Bird Flight with a morning shotgun start and a sold-out Afternoon Aces Flight. Participants will compete for prizes in contests like Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and a Hole-in-One Challenge for a chance to win $10,000. Attendees can also test their luck at the “Putt for Prizes” and a 50/50 raffle.
Mark D’Esposito ’05, owner of Costello’s at the Nest and a proud Stockton alumnus, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. “As a local business owner and proud Stockton grad, it means a lot to be part of an event that brings people together and helps today’s students reach their goals,” he said.
The Stockton Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the university, providing over $1 million annually in scholarships and funding for innovative programs, faculty projects, and student groups. The proceeds from the Golf Classic directly help students overcome financial barriers and complete their degrees.
Individual tickets are available for $250, with foursomes priced at $1,000. Recent graduates (classes of 2016-2025) can register at a discounted Young Alumni Golf Rate of $175. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500.
