Investment advisory firm, Summit Financial, on Wednesday announced a strategic minority investment and partnership with Signet Financial Management, a $1.2 billion Parsippany-based Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
The deal, executed in collaboration with lifecycle growth partner Merchant, marks the addition of one of the country’s top-ranked independent advisory firms to Summit’s rapidly scaling national platform. Signet, which operates offices in New Jersey, Virginia and Florida, recently ranked No. 40 on the CNBC Financial Advisor 100 list.
The move highlights a shifting trend in the RIA industry: mid-to-large-sized firms are increasingly seeking “compound” partnerships. These arrangements allow firms like Signet to access institutional-grade technology, tax expertise, and growth capital without sacrificing their brand identity or entrepreneurial independence.
Since first partnering with Merchant in 2021, Signet has seen its client assets surge by over 40%. By joining the Summit ecosystem, Signet aims to further accelerate this momentum.
“For many advisors, the challenge is how to grow without signing away their legacy,” Keith Soltis, chief business development officer at Summit said. “Our approach enables advisors to remain entrepreneurs while tapping into the growth resources of a national firm.”
A unique element of this partnership is the integration of proprietary technology. Summit will evaluate incorporating Signet’s Holistico tool—an AI-driven solution designed to streamline investment research and personalize portfolio workflows—into its broader technology stack.
Eugene Yashin, co-founder and CEO of Signet, noted that the collaboration is designed to meet the increasingly complex needs of high-net-worth and multigenerational families.
The addition of Signet is part of a massive expansion for Summit Financial, which has seen its footprint grow exponentially since 2020.
Signet joins other high-profile, $1 billion-plus firms like SRM Private Wealth and Gordon Asset Management on the Summit platform.
Stan Gregor, chairman and CEO of Summit Financial, praised the Signet leadership team—including Eugene Yashin, Steve Tuttle, and Shawn Hirsch—for building a “top-tier firm.” He emphasized that the partnership provides Signet with the “wealth management, technology, and business resources” necessary to reach even greater heights.
