Mercury Public Affairs on Thursday announced that Samantha Maltzman, one of the nation’s most respected political fundraisers, is joining the firm’s advisory board. Maltzman brings with her two decades of experience serving Presidential, Senatorial, and Congressional campaigns throughout the Northeast.
“Samantha is one of the most respected and accomplished fundraisers in politics. Her decades of experience at the highest levels of campaigns and her unmatched relationships will bring enormous value to our firm,” Michael Soliman, a Mercury partner who leads the New Jersey office, said. “We are proud to welcome her to Mercury’s Advisory Board and look forward to the insight and expertise she will bring as we continue to expand our reach.”
Maltzman has a long history of working with high-profile figures, including her ongoing work with Senator Cory Booker since his first Senate campaign in 2013 and her role as deputy national finance director on his Presidential campaign. She also advised Gov. Phil Murphy when he was first exploring and then running for office.
“I am thrilled to join Mercury’s Advisory Board and to collaborate with such a talented and dynamic team,” Maltzman said. “I look forward to working with Mercury to expand its impactful and innovative work.”
Beyond her campaign experience, Maltzman advises high-net-worth clients on political and philanthropic giving. Prior to starting her own fundraising business, she served as the New York Regional finance director to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).
“Samantha has been a trusted strategist to some of the most prominent leaders in the country,” Mercury Partner Mo Butler said. “Her record speaks for itself, and she will be an incredible asset to Mercury as we continue to grow.”
Maltzman is a proud graduate of Douglass College, the former women’s college at Rutgers University, and is active in her local community, serving on several boards.
