Vitaquest International LLC, a powerhouse in the North Jersey life sciences corridor, announced the appointment of Tim Condron as its new chief executive officer.
The West Caldwell-based firm is a premier U.S. contract manufacturer of nutraceuticals and dietary supplements. Condron, a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership in regulated manufacturing, succeeds Patrick Brueggman, who is retiring after an eight-year tenure that saw significant expansion for the company.
Condron joins Vitaquest during a pivotal era for the Garden State’s manufacturing sector. Most recently, he served as president and COO of BestCo Inc., where he navigated the complex transition from food-standard manufacturing to full FDA drug and supplement compliance.
His background is uniquely suited for the rigorous regulatory environment of New Jersey’s “Medicine Chest” reputation:
- Educational foundation: Trained as a chemical engineer with advanced qualifications in management accounting.
- Operational expertise: A Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, bringing a data-driven approach to operational excellence.
- Scaling success: A proven track record of reengineering quality systems and upgrading multi-site supply chain infrastructures.
“Tim’s combination of regulatory expertise, operational rigor, and commercial leadership makes him ideally suited to build on the strong foundation Vitaquest has established,” Alan Yu, deputy chairman of Vitaquest’s parent organization CK Life Sciences, said.
Under Condron’s leadership, Vitaquest has outlined a three-pronged strategy for 2026 that aligns with New Jersey’s broader economic goals of fostering innovation and high-quality employment:
- Customer-centricity: Deepening partnerships with global brands to fuel mutual growth.
- Disruptive innovation: Accelerating the development of new dosage forms, including specialty powders, capsules, and tablets.
- Employer of choice: Strengthening Vitaquest’s position as a top-tier employer within the Essex County labor market.
“Our focus is clear: putting our customers at the center of everything we do, delivering disruptive innovation that fuels their growth, and continuing to build a workplace where our people can thrive,” Condron stated.
As Condron takes the helm, the outgoing CEO, Patrick Brueggman, will not be departing immediately. Brueggman will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
The appointment underscores the continued strength of the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) sector in New Jersey. As global supplement brands increasingly look for domestic partners with high regulatory standards, Vitaquest’s investment in top-tier leadership positions West Caldwell as a critical node in the global wellness supply chain.
