In a continuing tradition of community support, Walters staff members successfully organized and executed their Sixth Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, assembling and delivering baskets to 120 families and individuals in the company’s income-restricted communities across New Jersey.
The baskets, delivered on Nov. 20, contained non-perishable food items and supermarket gift cards to ensure local residents have a brighter holiday season.
“Our team values the support we give to the residents living in our communities,” Jennifer Pampalone, director of social services for Walters said. “Every department within the company has come together to collect monetary donations and food items to make this year’s drive a success.”
The annual food drive is a key component of Walters’ commitment to community involvement. This marks the sixth consecutive year that staff has banded together to support residents in need.
Pampalone works closely with Walters’ property managers to provide specialized programming for residents living in both family and senior (55+) income-restricted housing.
