Luck has struck twice for Saker ShopRites, and once again, the local community is the biggest winner.
Following the sale of a $12.3 million Pick-6 winning ticket in January 2026, the ShopRite of Waretown has donated its entire $10,000 lottery bonus commission to Fulfill Food Bank. The donation continues a generous tradition for the Saker family; in 2024, they donated a $30,000 bonus to the same organization after their Neptune location sold a historic $1.13 billion Mega Millions ticket.
“The utility of a win like this goes far beyond the jackpot,” said one representative during a recent celebratory check presentation at the store.
By turning lottery luck into “goodwill,” the Saker family ensures that the excitement of a big win provides a tangible boost to families facing food insecurity across Monmouth and Ocean counties.
