Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., one of New Jersey’s oldest and largest law firms, announced today that it has renewed the lease for its corporate headquarters, securing its presence in the David T. Wilentz building through 2042.
The long-term commitment ensures that the firm, founded in 1919, will remain anchored in Woodbridge for decades to come, continuing its century-long history of serving the state’s legal and business communities.
The renewal is more than just a real estate transaction; it is a strategic reinvestment in the firm’s New Jersey roots. Since its founding by David T. Wilentz, the firm has been at the center of landmark cases and high-profile regulatory matters that have shaped the state’s legal landscape.
“Our decision to renew our headquarters lease reflects our continued investment in New Jersey, our clients, and the communities we serve,” Angelo Cifaldi, president and managing director of Wilentz said.
As part of the new lease agreement, Wilentz will launch a comprehensive interior redesign of its Woodbridge offices. The renovation aims to transition the traditional law office into a “modernized, efficient layout” that prioritizes:
- Enhanced collaboration: Open-concept areas designed for multi-disciplinary legal teams to work more effectively.
- Client-centric spaces: A more welcoming and functional environment for high-profile meetings and consultations.
- Technological integration: Upgraded infrastructure to support modern legal practice and remote connectivity.
The transaction was handled internally by the firm’s leadership, including Cifaldi, Real Estate Team Co-chair Todd Lehder, and Executive Director Tim Carr.
With this 16-year commitment to Woodbridge, Wilentz solidifies its position as a central figure in the Mid-Atlantic legal market. While the David T. Wilentz building remains the heart of the operation, the firm continues to maintain a robust regional footprint with additional offices in:
- Perth Amboy, NJ
- Red Bank, NJ
- New York City, NY
- Philadelphia, PA
The firm provides a full spectrum of legal services across corporate, individual, and governmental sectors, remaining one of the few institutions in the state with a continuous history spanning over 100 years.
