The Alternate Route options for Elementary Education are designed for individuals already filling the teaching shortage gaps throughout New Jersey with a Limited Certificate of Eligibility but who now need to earn the state-recognized credentials to become an officially certified teacher of record in New Jersey.

The Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate (Alternate Route) is geared toward general education teachers either shifting into special education or who are already working in a special education classroom and need official credentials.

The deadline to register for the upcoming semester is 8/17.
