NJ AI Hub unveils inaugural cohort of 14 startups for high-tech accelerator

The New Jersey Artificial Intelligence Hub (NJ AI Hub) has officially selected 14 startups for its first-ever accelerator cohort. Powered by Plug and Play, the program aims to solidify the Garden State’s position as a global epicenter for AI development.

Based in West Windsor, the accelerator provides a launchpad for startups specializing in health care, biopharma, manufacturing, energy and fintech. By connecting these entrepreneurs with a global network of mentors and investors, the program seeks to move AI from theoretical concepts to scalable, real-world applications.

The NJ AI Hub was founded through a strategic partnership between the NJEDA, Princeton University, Microsoft and CoreWeave. This first cohort represents a critical milestone in the state’s multi-million-dollar investment into the AI sector.

“The NJ AI Hub Accelerator is a major step toward cementing New Jersey as a global center for innovation,” Liat Krawczyk, executive director of the NJ AI Hub said. “We’ll unlock new technologies, forge powerful collaborations, and move AI breakthroughs from concept to real-world impact.”

The inaugural batch consists primarily of New Jersey- and New York-based companies tackling complex industrial challenges:

  • Chorah Labs: Automating regulatory and manufacturing workflows for biopharma.
  • DataRightsAI: An augmented intelligence platform for complex financial contract analysis.
  • Edara: Streamlining enterprise integration and improving quality for technicians.
  • Hydronos Labs: Delivering advanced weather and climate risk assessments.
  • Intelizen: AI-powered contract and claims intelligence for the healthcare sector.
  • Lyzr: An agent infrastructure platform for deploying tailored business AI agents.
  • Nexerios: Optimizing revenue for underutilized assets through intelligent pricing.
  • Nodes: An AI-native recruiting system that automates candidate fit scoring.
  • Parable: Providing deep insights into enterprise resource and time allocation.
  • Rena Labs: Building secure AI infrastructure using Trusted Execution Environments.
  • SecuraAI: Automating AI security and governance for regulated industries.
  • Tailorbird: Construction software for fast, accurate renovation cost estimates.
  • TextMine: Automating data extraction and compliance for regulated documents.
  • Thalus: An AI risk management platform for global regulatory compliance.

The accelerator is designed to leverage Plug and Play’s massive corporate network, offering startups the chance to secure pilots and long-term partnerships.

“We’re incredibly excited to support New Jersey companies that are shaping the future of AI,” Tyler Lange, director of Plug and Play New Jersey said. “Together, we’re strengthening and scaling New Jersey’s AI ecosystem.”

Evan Weiss, CEO of the NJEDA, noted that the program is a vital engine for economic growth. “New Jersey’s robust investments into AI are positioning us as a leader in the industry, while driving innovation forward and keeping us economically competitive.”
