Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Bob Garrett will be honored by the Town Title Foundation for years of being a global health care thought-leader — and philanthropist — at the group’s 10th Annual Golf Outing.
The event, Sept. 29 at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, is marking a decade of charitable impact. This year’s event will celebrate the spirit of community, philanthropy, and a shared commitment to health care excellence.
Garrett, who leads the state’s largest health network (18 hospitals, more than 500 acute care locations and 38,000 team members), will be honored for his efforts in advancing groundbreaking care and expanding access to critical health services for New Jersey residents.
Under his leadership, the HMH network has become a national leader in quality and innovation. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked HMH’s flagship hospital, the No. 1 hospital in New Jersey and the New York Metro area, and among the top 20 hospitals in the nation.
Garrett currently serves as chair of the World Economic Forum’s Health and Healthcare Governor’s Community and has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in the U.S. In 2025, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, one of the nation’s most prestigious awards, recognized by both Houses of Congress.
All net proceeds from the outing will benefit four impactful Hackensack Meridian Health initiatives:
- The Tackle Kids Cancer program at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital;
- The Inserra Diabetes Research Institute at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital;
- The Caryl and Jim Kourgelis Foundation for Behavioral Health at the Hackensack Meridian Carrier Clinic;
- And the John Theurer Cancer Center.
These programs provide critical care, support, and innovation for patients facing cancer, diabetes, mental health challenges, and complex diagnoses — offering hope and healing close to home.
Now in its 10th year, the Town Title Foundation Golf Outing continues to unite business leaders, healthcare advocates, and community members for a day of sport and generosity, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families across New Jersey.
