Norris McLaughlin expands litigation practice with addition of Andrea Suarez in Bridgewater

Norris McLaughlin, P.A. announced that Andrea Suarez joined the firm as an associate in its Litigation practice group. Based in the firm’s Bridgewater office, Suarez brings a background in civil litigation and public-entity representation to the growing team.

Suarez’s practice focuses on complex matters including contract disputes, employment discrimination claims under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD), and litigation involving the New Jersey Tort Claims Act.

Suarez joins the firm with extensive experience in all phases of the litigation lifecycle. She has a proven history of drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and defending depositions. Notably, she has supported the defense of public employers in high-stakes retaliation matters and assisted in resolving complex contract actions through negotiated settlements.

“Andrea’s litigation experience, coupled with her precision and professionalism in handling civil and public‑entity matters, makes her an exceptional addition to our team,” David Roberts, Chair of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. “Her commitment to client service will greatly benefit our practice and our clients.”

Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Suarez served as an associate at a boutique firm where she regularly appeared in court for oral arguments and guided clients through the mediation process. Her expertise also extends to:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Assisting public entities with the complexities of the Open Public Records Act (OPRA).
  • Internal Investigations: Conducting independent employment and pre-litigation investigations.
  • Multilingual Support: As a fluent Spanish speaker, she previously served as a translator at a mid-sized law firm, enhancing her ability to communicate with a diverse client base.

Suarez earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she was an active member of the Minority Student Program and a clinical student with the Education and Health Law clinic. She holds a B.A. from Rider University. Her early career includes internships at the U.S. Department of Education and Dow Jones, providing her with a unique perspective on both public policy and corporate environments.
