Teaneck-based Cognizant has been recognized as one of the 2026 World’s Most Ethical Companies® by Ethisphere for the second consecutive year.
This award honors companies that demonstrate a commitment to ethical business practices through programs that positively impact employees, communities, and broader stakeholders while contributing to their sustainable, long-term business growth.
These recognized companies stand out for their business integrity by embedding ethics into everyday decision-making and long-term strategy. Companies with strong ethics, compliance, and governance programs are built for better long-term performance, Ethisphere said in a release.
Cognizant is an AI builder and technology services provider, bridging AI investment and enterprise value by building full-stack AI solutions.
To be considered, companies must provide 240-plus documented proof points on practices that support robust ethics and compliance; corporate governance; risk assessment and auditing; measurement of ethical culture; third-party risk management, and environmental and social impact.
An expert panel then conducts further analysis of the data. In 2026, 138 honorees were recognized, spanning 17 countries and 40 industries.
In January, Cognizant announced a multi-year extension of its collaboration with Kohler Co. The renewed agreement marks a pivot toward “agentic” operations, leveraging advanced generative AI and cloud ecosystems to modernize the 150-year-old manufacturer’s global digital foundation.
In November, Cognizant acquired independent Microsoft Azure services provider 3Cloud, a move that significantly advances its AI builder strategy.
