The New Jersey Bankers Association (NJBankers) honored Larry Schmidt, president & CEO of 1st Bank of Sea Isle City, with its prestigious 2025 Warren Hill Award.
The award was presented to Schmidt during the Association’s Banking on the Future Conference last week at The Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. The Warren Hill Award recognizes current or former NJBankers committee members who have gone above and beyond to support the mission of the committees on which they serve.
Schmidt has been a dedicated member of the NJBankers Audit Committee since 2012 and has chaired the committee since 2016. In this capacity, the committee provides critical financial oversight to the Association and its subsidiaries.
“Larry has dedicated countless hours to the Association and Committee to ensure that our financial reporting is complete and accurate,” NJBankers president & CEO Michael Affuso said during the presentation. “As a result, the Board of Directors and the membership can rest assured that with Larry at the helm of the Committee, NJBankers is on a sound financial footing.”
Schmidt has led 1st Bank of Sea Isle City as its President & CEO since 1999. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer and controller for the bank and the former First Savings & Loan Association, respectively. His commitment to NJBankers extends beyond the Audit Committee, as he has also served on the Board of Directors, Executive Board, and Charitable Foundation Trustees.
