The New Jersey Devils and Prudential Financial will honor the nation’s current and former military service members during the team’s 15th annual Military Appreciation Night presented by Prudential on Nov.10. The Devils will face off against the New York Islanders at 7:00 PM at Prudential Center.
The evening will feature a multitude of in-game features, concourse activations, and giveaways aimed at celebrating the dedication of the U.S. military. As part of Prudential’s long-standing commitment to the armed forces, the company is providing 200 complimentary tickets to active military personnel and veterans to attend the game.
- Camo Hat Giveaway: The first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a camo baseball hat courtesy of Prudential.
- Fundraising: Proceeds from the online auction of military-themed jerseys signed by the players and the night’s 50/50 drawing will benefit the New Jersey Veterans Network, a volunteer mobile outreach program dedicated to helping veterans and their families. The jersey auction will run online through November 17.
- Military Discount: Active military members and veterans with a military ID will receive a 10% discount at all Devils Den Team Stores at Prudential Center.
Throughout the night, the Devils and Prudential will pay tribute to the armed forces with several interactive experiences:
- Heroes Among Us: U.S. Air Force Veteran and USA Hockey Disabled Athlete of the Year, John O’Connell, who is legally blind and plays for the New Jersey Warriors, will be recognized as the Hero of the Game for his inspiring dedication to the sport. Members of the New Jersey Warriors Hockey Team will also participate in an on-ice competition during the second intermission.
- Prudential “Here For our Heroes” Concourse Activation: Fans can visit the space outside Section 19 to pen a digital postcard to troops overseas, add photos of their military heroes to an inspiring Hero Wall, and receive co-branded pins.
- U.S. Army Exhibit: The North Jersey Recruiting Company will host a table on the upper concourse, customizing dog tags, handing out Army gear, and allowing fans to interact with a medical dummy to learn about Tactical Casualty Care.
- Sweepstakes: Fans can enter the Devils Military Appreciation Sweepstakes presented by Prudential for a chance to win prizes like a team-signed military-themed jersey or glass seat tickets to the next home game.
