A look inside the 2026 BINJE’s Best Commercial Real Estate list

When South Jersey Gas opened its new headquarters building in Atlantic City nearly a decade ago, some just saw it as a cool building that AC DEVCO was putting up at the beach.

It’s so much more than that.

Commercial real estate is about more than just square footage, amenities, parking and price — it’s an economic engine all of its own.

In Atlantic City, the SJ Gas headquarters was more about the hundreds of construction jobs it took to build the 75,000-square-foot office complex – or even the hundreds of extra employees that now come into the city on a daily basis.

It was about creating an economic spark that has helped the city in its efforts to expand beyond gaming.

Mike Renna, the soon-to-be-retired CEO of South Jersey Industries, knows it. So does Chris Paladino, the president of AC DEVCO.

So, too, do the more than 100 people in commercial real estate who are represented on the 2026 BINJE’s Best: Commercial Real Estate list.

Our list goes beyond the headlines. We honor the developers and builders that make it happen, the lawyers and brokers who close the deals, the marketers who help promote the project and so much more.
