Calling it a resident-centric approach that extends across the entire operational ecosystem, Kushner Real Estate Wednesday announced that it is launching the Northern Chapter Company, a new residential brand that brings together more than 6,200 apartment homes across 13 New Jersey communities under a unified identity.
The portfolio includes seven communities in Jersey City, as well as communities in Bayonne, East Hanover, Hopewell, Madison, Marlboro and Rockaway.
KRE remains the parent company, while Chapter serves as the umbrella brand for its residential portfolio, establishing shared standards for resident service, hospitality and community programming while preserving the distinct identity and neighborhood character of each property.
KRE President Jonathan Kushner said the brand represents a belief that home should be more than just an address.
Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, Chapter is designed so each community reflects the history, architecture and character of the neighborhood it calls home, he said. While residents can expect a consistent level of service and hospitality across the portfolio, each property maintains its own distinct identity rooted in its surroundings.
“While we take great pride in developing, owning and managing a variety of residential communities, what matters most is how we show up for our residents,” he said. “Chapter reflects that commitment in a more unified way across our portfolio.”
This resident-centric approach extends across the entire operational ecosystem, anchoring both daily property management and community-wide programming, the firm said.
“We’ve become increasingly focused on a resident-first mindset,” Chief Operating Officer Jeremy Kaplan said. “That philosophy influences every aspect of our business, from day-to-day operations and customer service to resident programming and community engagement. Chapter gives us a clear framework to deliver a consistent level of service while remaining responsive to the needs of each individual community.”
As part of the launch, Chapter has introduced the motto, “Everyday Elevated,” reflecting the belief that exceptional living is shaped as much by everyday moments as by major milestones. The brand also debuts a new visual identity featuring a bookmark-inspired emblem, symbolizing the memorable life chapters residents create in the communities they call home.
“We want Chapter to be recognized not only for the buildings we create, but for the experiences people have in them,” Chief Design Officer Marc Kushner said. “Our goal is to create homes and communities that people remember long after they’ve lived there. This brand helps articulate the standards we already hold ourselves to and the vision that will guide us moving forward.”
