honeygrow, the fast-casual chain known for its wholesome, customizable stir-fries, salads, and honeybars, has reached a significant milestone in the Garden State by opening its 10th New Jersey restaurant in Kearny.
The new location at 190 Passaic Avenue is situated in the Kearny Plaza Shopping Center, joining a strong tenant lineup that includes BJ’s Wholesale Club, LA Fitness, ShopRite and Target. This move expands the brand’s footprint into Hudson County, strategically placing it in a densely populated suburban area with easy access to Newark and New York City. The new restaurant is expected to create more than forty local jobs.
“It is an exciting moment to mark the 10th honeygrow location in New Jersey with the opening of our Kearny restaurant,” Justin Rosenberg, founder and CEO of honeygrow said. “Since opening our Hoboken location in 2015, we’ve been a part of the northern New Jersey community for over ten years, and we’re excited for more restaurants to come!”
The Kearny opening is a key step in honeygrow’s aggressive 2025 expansion plan, which aims to bring the company’s total number of locations to 70 by the end of the year. With nine other thriving restaurants already in the state, New Jersey remains one of the brand’s most dynamic and successful markets.
Seasonal menu highlights
To celebrate the season, the Kearny location is featuring the return of a fan-favorite, the Sriracha Tahini Stir-fry, which includes fresh egg white noodles, roasted chicken, and organic baby spinach tossed in a creamy sriracha tahini sauce.
As with all honeygrow offerings, the new item is fully customizable. Guests can tailor their meal by selecting different proteins (steak, shrimp, tofu, etc.), bases, sauces, and toppings. For a sweet treat, the limited-time Chocolate Mousse honeybar is also back on the menu, topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
