Provident Bank strengthens leadership with key technology and commercial real estate appointments

Iselin-based Provident Bank on Wednesday announced a series of strategic executive hires and promotions. The move caps a year of significant expansion and underscores the bank’s focus on technological innovation, data-driven decision-making, and an enhanced customer experience.

The announcement includes the promotion of two internal leaders and the appointment of two seasoned executives to oversee critical functions in technology, data governance, and commercial lending.

  • Satish Harikrishnan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer. Previously instrumental in establishing the bank’s Network Operations Center and Enterprise Architecture function, Harikrishnan will now lead the bank’s overarching technology strategy, focusing on cybersecurity, operational resiliency, and digital growth.

  • Shyam Nair joins Provident as Senior Vice President, Head of Data, Analytics, and Data Governance. With over 20 years of experience, including a recent role modernizing the cloud-based data ecosystem at Texas Capital, Nair will define the bank’s enterprise data strategy to improve business intelligence and regulatory compliance.

“Satish’s leadership has played a key role in strengthening our technology foundation,” said Ravi Vakacherla, Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Operations Officer. “Additionally, Shyam brings exceptional depth in data and analytics… His leadership will be instrumental as we leverage data-driven insights to support our business objectives.”

Strengthening Regional Sales and Commercial Real Estate

  • Linda Martin has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Regional Sales Manager for the Central Region. Since joining the bank in 2023, Martin has been recognized for her commitment to customer experience and branch operations. She will now oversee sales goals and staff development across the region.

  • Andrew Markey joins the bank as Senior Vice President, Team Leader, Commercial Real Estate (CRE). A 30-year veteran of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets—most recently with Valley Bank—Markey will lead a team of relationship managers focused on structuring complex CRE transactions for institutional and private investors.

“Andrew brings deep industry experience and a strong track record of building and managing commercial real estate relationships,” Philip Bringuier, Senior Vice President, Regional Director, CRE, said.
