Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP has announced the addition of Elton John Bozanian as a partner, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s ongoing strategic expansion heading into 2026.
Bozanian joins the firm’s Elder and Special Needs and Estate, Gift & Charitable Planning practice groups, bringing nearly two decades of specialized legal expertise to the Tax, Trusts, and Estate Department.
The appointment comes during a period of “tremendous expansion” for the Florham Park-based firm. Managing Partner John Ursin noted that the firm’s Tax, Trusts, and Estate Department is currently experiencing rapid growth, building on its historically prominent reputation in the region.
“Elton is a senior, accomplished attorney who significantly adds to our capabilities in his specialized area,” Ursin said. “The firm will also benefit from Elton’s extensive relationships and network in the Bergen County area.”
Bozanian’s practice is heavily focused on fiduciary matters, including:
-
Fiduciary Litigation: Resolving complex disputes and litigating fiduciary actions.
-
Independent Representation: Serving as agent, attorney-in-fact, and healthcare proxy for individuals requiring independent fiduciaries.
-
Court-Appointed Roles: Frequently serving as a temporary guardian (pendente lite), estate administrator, and guardian ad litem under New Jersey Court Rules.
His background spans beyond estate law, encompassing family law mediation, civil litigation, and criminal defense, making him a versatile asset for the firm’s private client base.
Bozanian earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and his B.A. in Psychology from Boston University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and several federal courts.
Outside of the courtroom, Bozanian is a recognized leader in the legal community:
-
Director: New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
-
Volunteer Chair: Bergen County Mandatory Early Settlement Panel.
-
Educator: Regular presenter for the NJSBA, ICLE, and the NJ Association for Justice.
