Moonachie-based Paris Baguette ended 2025 with its most successful year on record, opening 77 new locations across North America. The expansion included a frantic December that saw 14 new cafés open their doors in a single month, setting a new benchmark for the franchise as it marches toward its goal of 1,000 locations by 2030.
Specifically in New Jersey a Paris Baguette spokesperson said there are currently a total of 29 cafes open and 12 locations on track to open in 2026. Nationwide, the brand is currently on track to open its 400th North American bakery café this year, fueled by a pipeline of 150 planned openings for 2026.
To support this rapid scaling, Paris Baguette recently broke ground on its first-ever North American manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. The $200 million+ project will feature a 267,000-square-foot production hub designed to centralize dough production and streamline the supply chain for U.S. and Canadian markets.
In late 2025, the company welcomed Zac Sulma as its new chief operating officer. Sulma, a veteran of multi-unit operations with a background at Bowlero and Bowlmor AMF, will lead the operational strategy as the brand enters a period of unprecedented growth.
“All of our successes are a result of the people behind Paris Baguette,” CEO Darren Tipton said. “Reaching nearly 80 new café openings and celebrating our 250th location were major wins, but I’m especially proud that we’re operating with more heart and focus than ever before.”
Paris Baguette’s 2025 performance was validated by significant moves in industry power rankings:
-
Entrepreneur Franchise 500® (2026): Ranked No. 29 overall (up from No. 42) and No. 1 in the bakery café category.
-
Technomic Top 500: Ranked No. 112, jumping more than 20 positions year-over-year.
-
Comparable Sales: Achieved over five consecutive years of positive same-store sales growth.
With 101 new leases signed and nearly 300 development agreements in the pipeline, the brand is preparing to expand into 10 new U.S. states and Canadian provinces throughout 2026, solidifying its position as the premier neighborhood bakery café in the North American market.
