Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction Monday that there will be six more weeks of winter was good news for local skiers – especially those who missed out on the chance to get a season pass to Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon.
Shortly after Phil’s pronouncement, the resort (always looking to find ways to do unique promotions) announced it was offering an all-access pass for $239.99 (plus fees).
They’re calling it the “You @#&!$% Up Pass.”
We’re not sure how the profanity works, but here’s how the pass works: You get unlimited skiing and snowboard riding for the remainder of the season.
“We know a lot of people are kicking themselves for missing the season pass this fall,” General Manager Evan Kovach said. “This limited-time pass gives guests a second chance to enjoy the remainder of one of the best winters Mountain Creek has ever seen. Think of it as a rest-of-the-season pass, perfect for making the most of everything winter still has to offer.”
Mountain Creek Resort is open weekly, offering top-to-bottom terrain at both Vernon Peak and South Peak, serviced by the Cabriolet Gondola and South Peak Express Quad.
Located just one hour outside New York City, Mountain Creek Resort offers over 167 acres of winter trails across a variety of terrain, suitable for every ability level. With four mountain peaks, nine lifts and three dedicated terrain parks, Mountain Creek Resort delivers a true mountain experience both on and off the slopes.
As the largest ski area in the region, Mountain Creek Resort is easily accessible for New York, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania residents looking for a world-class resort experience.
All mountain services are fully operational, including rentals, lessons, and on-mountain dining. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders can enjoy 28 terrain park features at South Peak’s freestyle area.
Advance online reservations are required for all visits. Full-day and twilight access passes are also available.
And, if you’re of that age, the resort prides itself on being a cool place to work in the summer.
