World Investment Advisors, a division of Iselin-based World Insurance Associates LLC, appointed Jeffrey Sheftic as its new Chief Growth Officer. The move signals a strategic push to accelerate the firm’s expansion through organic growth and enhanced advisor partnerships across its retirement and wealth management sectors.
Sheftic brings over 30 years of executive experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions at industry giants including Prudential, Charles Schwab & Co., Credit Suisse, and Capital One. His expertise lies in bridging the gap between aggressive growth strategies and the complex operational infrastructure required to sustain them.
As chief growth officer, Sheftic will be responsible for:
- Organic growth initiatives: Developing strategies to deepen existing client relationships and expand market share.
- Advisor recruiting: Leading efforts to attract top-tier talent to World’s network of over 350 advisors.
- Operational modernization: Leveraging his background in technology and regulatory infrastructure to streamline advisor onboarding and platform productivity.
“Jeff’s exceptional acumen for relationship building and bringing clarity to operational complexities will deepen the partnership that drives our long-term success,” Ed Walters, president of World Investment Advisors said.
The appointment coincides with a key transition for Mike Woods, the former chief growth officer and co-founder of Pensionmark. Woods will move into the role of executive vice president of corporate development for World Insurance said. In this capacity, Woods will focus specifically on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activity, working alongside Sheftic to pair disciplined acquisitions with Sheftic’s focus on organic advisor growth.
Sheftic’s deep industry roots extend into the regulatory sphere. He served on FINRA’s Uniform Practice Code Committee for 20 years and was a 25-year member of its Financial Responsibility Committee. This regulatory background is expected to provide “operational clarity” as World Investment Advisors modernizes its technology stack and expands its multi-location team, which includes significant offshore operations in India.
“By aligning a growth strategy with operational excellence and mutually beneficial relationships, we can create meaningful value for advisors and the clients they serve,” Sheftic noted regarding his new mandate.
