Mighty Auto Parts of N.J. sold to franchisee

New owner has nearly 20 years of experience in the Mighty Auto Parts system.

Mighty Auto Parts of Northern New Jersey has been purchased by Mighty Distributing franchise owner Rob Sinanan.

Sinanan transitioned into a leadership role in January, assuming the duties of former owner, Paul Kerstein, who led the company for 42 years.

Kerstein will support Sinanan in advisory and operational roles over the next six months.

Sinanan has nearly 20 years of experience in the Mighty Auto Parts system, having built his career in the highly competitive New York City & Long Island market.

Sinanan began working with Mighty Auto Parts of New York in 2006 and quickly distinguished himself through strong operational execution and sales leadership. His early success was recognized when he earned the Mighty 2009 Salesperson of the Year award.

In 2017, Rob assumed ownership of Mighty Auto Parts of New York City, serving in the dual role of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Since then, he has led the business with hands-on oversight across finance, operations, sales strategy, and customer relationships.

As part of this expansion, the Northern New Jersey territory has been extended to include Staten Island, New York, allowing for geographic alignment and operational efficiencies in the region.

In January, a 14,840-square-foot AutoZone “hub” store located at the high-traffic intersection of North Black Horse Pike and Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Williamstown sold for $4.8 million.
