The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) announced Tuesday that George Goldhoff, president and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, has been elected as the organization’s new president.
Goldhoff succeeds Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, who held the position for nearly four years. The appointment marks a significant leadership transition for the trade group as it continues to advocate for the casino industry’s pivotal role as a regional economic driver.
Goldhoff brings over three decades of hospitality and gaming experience to the role. Since taking the helm at Hard Rock Atlantic City in January 2023, he has focused on bolstering financial performance, enhancing the guest experience and deepening community partnerships.
Before his tenure in Atlantic City, Goldhoff led Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, where he successfully spearheaded a full rebrand and secured years of consistent market growth. His extensive resume also includes roles at PURE Canadian Gaming, the Bellagio in Las Vegas and Gold Strike Casino Resort in Mississippi.
In his new capacity as CANJ president, Goldhoff aims to build upon the foundation established by his predecessor.
“The Atlantic City casino industry plays a vital role in our state’s economy, from supporting jobs to driving investment and attracting visitors from across the region,” Goldhoff said. “I look forward to working alongside our members, local officials, and state leaders to build on this momentum and further strengthen Atlantic City’s position as a world-class resort destination.”
The Casino Association of New Jersey serves as the collective voice for the city’s casino industry, advocating for policies that support the revitalization of Atlantic City.
Reflecting on the transition, outgoing president Mark Giannantonio expressed confidence in his successor. “We are at a critical turning point, and I am confident George is the right person to lead this organization into the future,” he said.
