CoreWeave partners with Cline to power the next generation of AI coding agents

CoreWeave, the Livingston-based “Essential Cloud for AI,” announced a major strategic integration today with Cline, a leading open and secure coding agent.

The partnership will embed CoreWeave’s W&B Inference directly into the Cline ecosystem, providing over five million developers with the high-performance infrastructure needed to run autonomous, “senior engineer” level coding systems.

The move marks a significant milestone for New Jersey’s burgeoning tech corridor, as CoreWeave continues to position itself as the foundational backbone for the global generative AI revolution.

As AI coding agents move from simple snippets to managing entire codebases, the demand for processing power has skyrocketed. Traditional cloud setups often struggle with “agentic” workflows—where an AI must reason, plan, and execute dozens of steps across massive context windows.

“Coding agents are dramatically increasing developer productivity, but without scalable inference services, agents can hang, killing developer momentum,” Shawn Lewis, general manager of CoreWeave SaaS said.

By utilizing CoreWeave’s AI-native platform, Cline can now process complex prompts and generate code with lower latency, ensuring that autonomous agents can work through multi-step terminal loops without interruption.

The partnership provides Cline users with a premier suite of tools purpose-built for high-scale development:

  • Access to State-of-the-Art Models: Developers can now leverage powerful open-weight models, including NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super, Kimi K2.5, and GLM5.
  • Operational Simplicity: The integration of W&B Weave allows for “pristine tracking” of prompts and context retrieval, making it easier for developers to debug agent logic and monitor performance in real-time.
  • Massive Scalability: CoreWeave Cloud is engineered to handle the “heavy lifting” of autonomous software development, allowing small teams to scale innovations into production seamlessly.

For Cline founder Saoud Rizwan, the integration is about removing the hardware bottlenecks that have historically limited AI-assisted coding.

“We started Cline to put a senior engineer in everyone’s back pocket,” Rizwan stated. “By integrating with CoreWeave’s full-stack AI cloud, we’re giving developers the ultimate freedom to run massive, complex tasks that were previously too heavy for standard cloud setups.”
