Renowned ESPN and SiriusXM personality Stephen A. Smith is set to bring his high-energy sports commentary to the campus of Seton Hall University on March 24. The visit will see Smith broadcasting two of his flagship programs live from the Gallagher Studio, located within the University Center.
The event marks a return for Smith, who has frequently visited the university to guest lecture and mentor students. This time, however, the campus will serve as the official backdrop for his nationwide broadcasts.
Broadcast Schedule
Smith’s day at Seton Hall will be divided into two major media segments:
-
First Take (ESPN): 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET
-
Smith will join the weekday morning debate program live from Gallagher Studio, connecting with ESPN’s primary hub at Hudson Yards in New York City to tackle the day’s biggest sports headlines.
-
-
The Stephen A. Smith Show (SiriusXM): 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ET
-
Following a midday break, Smith will return to the mic for his daily sports talk show on Mad Dog Sports Radio (Channel 82), featuring his signature commentary and direct interaction with callers.
-
The live broadcast event is the result of a strategic collaboration between two of the university’s premier professional hubs: the Center for Sport Management, directed by Charles Grantham, and the Center for Sports Media, directed by B.J. Schecter.
The initiative highlights Seton Hall’s commitment to providing students with “front-row” access to industry leaders and the inner workings of modern sports media production. By hosting a decorated personality like Smith, the university continues to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world professional expertise.
