Honeygrow continues Garden State expansion with new Watchung location

The Route 22 commercial corridor gained a fresh dining destination today as honeygrow officially opened its doors at 1701 US Route 22. The grand opening on March 20 marks the Philadelphia-based fast-casual chain’s 13th location in New Jersey and its 74th restaurant nationwide.

Located in Space #8B, the new Watchung eatery brings honeygrow’s signature menu of customizable, cooked-to-order stir-frys, salads, and “honeybar” fruit desserts to the Somerset County community.

The opening is part of a broader strategic push into the New Jersey market, where the brand has maintained a presence for over a decade. The Watchung site is designed to cater to a variety of local needs, from quick lunches for commuters on Route 22 to sit-down family dinners.

“New Jersey has been a strong and growing market for honeygrow for more than a decade,” Justin Rosenberg, founder and CEO of honeygrow said. “We’re incredibly excited to continue that growth with our 13th New Jersey restaurant in Watchung and bring our bold flavors to even more communities across the state later this year.”

The Watchung location features honeygrow’s best-selling staples, including:

  • Spicy Garlic Stir-Fry: A fan favorite emphasizing bold, fresh ingredients.
  • OG Cobb Salad: A nutrition-forward take on the classic.
  • Cheesecake Honeybar: A customizable dessert featuring fresh fruit and local honey.

The restaurant is now operating daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., joining a dense retail environment characterized by high-volume shopping centers and proximity to major residential hubs.
