Jeremiah Heller named COO for Schindler Elevator’s U.S. operations

Schindler Elevator Corporation officially announced the appointment of Jeremiah Heller as the new chief operating officer for its U.S. operations. Heller will succeed Paul Bloom, who is retiring after a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the elevator industry.

Based at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Morristown, Heller will report directly to Ray Bisson, the U.S. chief executive officer.

The appointment comes as Paul Bloom prepares to officially transition into retirement on July 1.. Bloom leaves behind a powerful legacy, having spent more than 14 years with Schindler, including the last four years as COO. To ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities, Heller will work closely with Bloom over the coming months.

“Paul’s leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to operational excellence have left a lasting impact on Schindler and our customers,” Bisson said.

Bisson expressed high confidence in the incoming COO, adding: “Jeremiah brings deep operational expertise, global perspective, and a proven track record of delivering results. I am confident he is the right leader to build on that legacy and lead our U.S. operations forward.”

Heller brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to his new executive role. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Area West, where he successfully managed sales and operations across the western United States, boosting both operational execution and customer satisfaction.

Heller’s career with Schindler began in 2012 as a District Manager. His tenure is marked by extensive international leadership experience, including:

  • Saudi Arabia (2015): Served as Field Operations Director and later as Managing Director of Schindler Olayan Elevator Company.
  • The Philippines (2019): Joined the Jardine Schindler Group as Managing Director, successfully leading a complete turnaround of operations.
  • Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan: Served as Managing Director for these regions and sat on the Jardine Schindler Group Executive Committee.

“I am honored to be named as Chief Operating Officer for the US,” Heller said. “I look forward to working closely with our talented teams to build on Schindler’s strong foundation, strengthen operational execution, and continue advancing customer excellence while driving sustainable growth.”

Heller holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Baker College. He also previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
