Hackensack Meridian Health, Merck, Atlantic Health and Crum & Forster were the four New Jersey-based companies to earn a spot on Fortune’s 100 Best Places to Work list, which was released this week.
Edison-based HMH was the highest-ranked N.J. company, coming in at No. 39 overall. It was followed by Kenilworth-based Merck (No. 58), Morristown-based Atlantic Health (No. 75) and Morristown-based Crum & Forster (No.78)
HMC CEO Bob Garrett said he was most grateful to earn the recognition.
“Being named among the top 40 companies on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list is a direct reflection of the extraordinary dedication, talent, and compassion of our world-class team members,” he said.
“This recognition is only possible because of the strong, patient-focused culture grounded in our mission to deliver the highest quality care to the patients we serve. I’m incredibly proud of the positive work environment we’ve built together and remain committed to continuing to foster a strong and aligned culture of caring for our patients and for one another.”
Atlantic Health CEO Saad Ehtisham, in his first year at the company, said the workplace camaraderie was one of the first things he noticed when he arrived in New Jersey.
Ehtisham said he was thrilled to see Atlantic Health’s history of goodwill continues. This year marks the 17th consecutive year Atlantic Health has made the list.
“We are thrilled to celebrate our amazing team, the driving force behind every life we touch, every achievement, every breakthrough,” he said. “As a national leader in health care, we understand that our highly engaged workforce is the foundation for fulfilling our promise to patients and their families. Knowing our team feels valued, supported and connected to our purpose is our greatest honor.”
A number of firms which headquartered outside of the state but have a strong and deep presence here also were honored, including:
- EY (No. 30)
- MetLife (31)
- PWC (35)
- Bank of America (46)
- Stryker (55)
