Archer & Greiner P.C. continues the strategic expansion of its environmental footprint in Northern New Jersey with the addition of Kathleen Hirce as Of Counsel. Based in the firm’s Hackensack office, Hirce brings extensive experience in navigating the complex regulatory and litigation landscape that defines New Jersey’s environmental law.
Her arrival reinforces Archer’s presence in the region and bolsters a team already recognized for handling high-stakes environmental matters for some of the state’s largest industries.
Hirce’s practice covers the full spectrum of environmental law, with a specialized focus on regulatory compliance, site investigation, and remediation. She is particularly well-versed in the “redevelopment of environmentally impacted properties”—a critical area of law in New Jersey’s bustling real estate market.
Her background includes significant experience in the petrochemical and gasoline sectors, including a valuable secondment with a Fortune 50 petroleum company. During that time, she managed complex environmental claims and investigations, gaining an “in-house” perspective that Archer leaders say will provide clients with practical, business-focused judgment.
“We are excited to welcome Katie to Archer,” Marc Rollo, president of Archer and Chair of the firm’s Environmental Law Group said. “Her addition reflects the continued growth of our Environmental Practice and further strengthens our bench in northern New Jersey. Her experience will enhance our ability to serve clients across an increasingly broad and sophisticated range of environmental matters.”
For Hirce, joining Archer is a move supported by years of professional familiarity. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with Archer attorneys on several matters, allowing her to hit the ground running with the firm’s collaborative service model.
“I’m thrilled to join Archer and work alongside a team with an outstanding reputation in environmental law,” Hirce commented. “Having already had the opportunity to collaborate with members of the firm’s environmental group, I’ve seen firsthand the depth of experience and practical approach they bring to client matters.”
Beyond site remediation, Hirce will advise on:
- Environmental Risk Assessment: Helping companies navigate the pitfalls of industrial operations.
- Cost Recovery and Allocation: Managing the financial complexities of cleanup efforts.
- Transaction Advisory: Guiding the environmental aspects of major corporate and real estate deals.
As New Jersey continues to prioritize the revitalization of brownfields and the enforcement of stringent environmental standards, the addition of seasoned counsel like Hirce ensures that Archer remains a primary resource for businesses operating in the Garden State.
