Paris Baguette expands N.J. footprint with upcoming Cherry Hill grand opening

South Jersey is about to get a bit sweeter. Paris Baguette, the rapidly expanding global bakery café chain, announced the grand opening of its 31st New Jersey location in Cherry Hill.

The new neighborhood café, located at 951 Haddonfield Road, will officially open its doors on May 27. To celebrate the milestone, early-morning visitors can enjoy a buy-one, get-one-free pastry promotion from 6:00 a.m. to noon (limited to one offer per customer).

The Cherry Hill location is spearheaded by multi-unit franchise operators and local entrepreneurs Ashish and Payal Shah. Payal Shah brings more than two decades of franchising experience to the venture, having previously operated well-known national brands such as Subway, Wingstop and Blaze Pizza.

After years in the fast-casual space, the Shahs identified a unique void in the South Jersey market for an upscale, community-focused bakery. The Cherry Hill café is just the starting point for the duo, who plan to develop more than 16 Paris Baguette units across South Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, the Boston Metro area and Georgia.

“After years of experience operating successful fast-casual brands, I was looking for a concept that stood out — something with both strong brand identity and long-term growth potential,” Payal Shah said. “Paris Baguette immediately caught my attention. It brings something unique to the table: a premium product, elevated design, and an experience that blends fast-casual convenience with European-style sophistication.”

The opening underscores a massive North American push for Paris Baguette, which currently operates over 4,000 locations globally and more than 300 across North America. The brand has stated an aggressive growth goal to reach 1,000 units in the U.S. and Canada by 2030, heavily relying on partnerships with local franchisees to restore the classic “neighborhood bakery” feel to local communities.

“We’re on a mission to reestablish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community across the U.S., and we’re excited to see Ashish and Payal bring this vision to life in Cherry Hill,” Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette said. “In our cafés we like to say, ‘Happy to see you. Happier to serve you.’ And we know Ashish and Payal will wholeheartedly embrace this approach in their neighborhood.”
