Sweetspot Cannabis Dispensary expands with new Mercer County location

Continuing the rapid expansion of the state’s legal adult-use marketplace, East Coast cannabis franchisor Sweetspot Cannabis Dispensary has officially opened its newest retail location in Mercer County. Located at 147 Sloan Ave (Trenton, NJ 08619), the facility marks a significant milestone for the brand, expanding its regional footprint and bringing a highly accessible retail model to local consumers.

The Hamilton Township destination increases Sweetspot’s total operational portfolio to nine dispensaries along the East Coast, with four of those storefronts strategically located across New Jersey.

The new dispensary introduces an intentional store layout tailored to lower the barrier of entry for adult consumers who may be unfamiliar with legal cannabis spaces, alongside efficient systems built for experienced patrons.

The facility offers a diverse, compliance-vetted menu sourced entirely from licensed New Jersey cultivators and manufacturers. Adult consumers aged 21 and older can access a rotating stock of premium flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, vapes, and consumption accessories.

Operating under a franchise business structure, the storefront is owned and managed by local entrepreneur Harry Patel, who emphasized the value of utilizing an established brand identity to navigate New Jersey’s evolving market.

“We’re excited to partner with Sweetspot to bring more legal cannabis options to Hamilton,” Patel said. “Sweetspot’s track record on the East Coast made this an easy decision, and we’re proud to bring their experience to Mercer County.”

Store Operations at a Glance:

  • Location: 147 Sloan Ave, Trenton, NJ 08619
  • Hours of Operation: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week
  • Entry Requirements: Strict 21+ age gate; a valid, government-issued photo ID is required for building access.

The launch underscores a broader real estate and commercial shift across Mercer County, as national frameworks like Sweetspot’s “business-in-a-box” model continue to streamline state-level licensing and real estate turnarounds for independent retail operators.
