With the 2026 “spooky season” on the horizon, Spirit Halloween has officially kicked off its largest hiring event in company history. The Egg Harbor Township-based retailer is looking to fill more than 52,000 seasonal positions to support the launch of over 1,500 stores across the United States and Canada.
As the nation’s largest specialty Halloween retailer, Spirit Halloween is seeking a wide range of talent to lead its unique, interactive retail experience. The brand is hiring for several key roles, including:
- Seasonal Sales Associates
- Assistant Managers
- Regional, Zone, and Store Managers
These associates will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the seasonal retail cycle, from initial store setup and merchandising to daily operations and final teardown.
“Spirit Halloween provides a dynamic and fun work environment where associates can be part of something truly special each season,” Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spirit Halloween said. “Our teams share a passion for all things Halloween, and there’s nothing better than transforming our store into a destination where the community can celebrate the season together.”
To attract staff for the temporary retail season, the company is offering a robust package of perks:
- Competitive Pay: High hourly wages with flexible scheduling designed for work-life balance.
- Performance Incentives: Seasonal pay incentives and retention bonuses to reward commitment throughout the duration of the season.
- Employee Discount: A 30% discount on the company’s extensive catalog of costumes, accessories, animatronics, and home décor.
For longtime employees like Kimberly Duncan, a store manager from Silverdale, WA, the appeal goes beyond the paycheck. “Being a part of helping families, kids, and Halloween fans create memories is what makes the job so special,” Duncan noted. “I look forward to it every season.”
