Holy Name recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Healthcare for 2026

Holy Name has been named to Newsweek’s “America’s Greatest Workplaces in Healthcare 2026” list. The designation, determined by Newsweek and the Plant-A Insights Group, recognizes large-scale healthcare organizations that demonstrate a deep commitment to employee well-being, supportive leadership, and professional sustainability.

The ranking was derived from a comprehensive evaluation process that combined publicly available data with confidential, large-scale employee surveys conducted nationwide. To qualify, organizations were required to have at least 1,000 employees and show verifiable progress in fostering positive work environments.

“We are proud to be included on Newsweek’s list of America’s Greatest Workplaces and appreciate being recognized for our commitment to fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported and fairly compensated,” Dennis Sparks, chief human resource officer at Holy Name said. “Ensuring that our staff feel respected and trusted empowers them to deliver the best possible care for the patients and families we serve.”

Holy Name’s operational philosophy is rooted in the principles of its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, which emphasize mission-driven care provided by a diverse team of physicians, nurses, and administrative professionals.

The recognition comes at a critical time for the healthcare sector, which continues to navigate the complexities of staffing shortages and provider burnout following the pandemic. Newsweek Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Cunningham noted that the 2026 ranking serves as a benchmark for institutions that are successfully addressing these systemic issues.

“Newsweek’s ranking offers a rigorous evaluation of the hospitals and care networks that are actively prioritizing provider well-being and psychological safety,” Cunningham said. “By honoring institutions that champion sustainable workloads and supportive leadership, we are defining the gold standard for workplaces where care providers can truly thrive.”

This latest accolade adds to Holy Name’s standing as a premier employer in the region, reaffirming its dedication to maintaining high standards for both patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
