Valley National Bank on Monday announced a significant expansion of its South Jersey and Philadelphia commercial banking presence. The move includes the appointment of four experienced financial professionals, a strategic step following the recent opening of the Bank’s regional office in Marlton.
The expansion is designed to increase Valley’s market visibility and broaden its capacity to serve the local business community with specialized financial solutions.
“These new hires will help increase our visibility in the region as well as our ability to grow the Bank’s customer base,” said Matthew Verney, Valley’s Chief Banking Officer for Philadelphia and South Jersey. “There are significant opportunities for us to serve the business community of this market by delivering innovative financial solutions.”
New leadership appointments
- Valley has added deep expertise across commercial banking, real estate, and equipment financing:
- Michael Mikstas, Vice President, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager (Middle Market): Bringing 19 years of banking experience, Mikstas joins from Franklin Bank. He previously held roles at Republic Bank, TD Bank, and Wells Fargo.
- Matthew Rosenberg, Vice President, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager (Commercial Real Estate): Rosenberg joins from SPHERECREST, where he led loan origination for six years, following a decade-long tenure at Marcus & Millichap.
- Nicholas Knestaut, Vice President, Business Banking: A banking veteran with 23 years of experience, Knestaut previously served as Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer at Franklin Bank, with prior roles at TD Bank, Republic Bank, and Bank of America.
- Fran Miles, Vice President, Business Development (Highland Capital Corporation): Bringing more than 35 years of equipment financing experience, Miles joins Valley from Trio Capital, where he served as Director of Business Development.
