Mercury Public Affairs, a leading bipartisan high-stakes public strategy firm, announced the appointment of Matthew Giacobbe to its advisory board. A highly respected attorney, Giacobbe brings decades of extensive experience in both the public and private sectors to the firm’s New Jersey office.
Giacobbe, a managing partner at Cleary, Giacobbe, Alfieri & Jacobs, L.L.C., is widely recognized for his leadership in labor and employment law. His career is marked by his role as trusted counsel to a vast array of New Jersey entities, including municipalities, school boards, colleges, and independent authorities. His legal acumen includes a successful track record of arguing cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Giacobbe’s addition to the board follows a distinguished career of service and professional recognition:
- Thought Leadership: He is a frequent lecturer for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the New Jersey School Boards Association, and the New Jersey League of Municipalities.
- Industry Recognition: He has consistently been named a “New Jersey Super Lawyer.”
- Judicial Experience: Before entering private practice, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Garrett Brown in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
- Education: He is a magna cum laude graduate of both Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D.) and Rutgers University (B.A.).
