A coalition, comprised of Cooper University Health Care, EnableHealth, the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE), Princeton University and the Princeton Innovation Center BioLabs, announced the launch of Medlantic, a first-of-its-kind forum dedicated to advancing medical technology and health care innovation across the Mid-Atlantic.
The inaugural one-day event is scheduled for July 14 at the Princeton Innovation Center BioLabs. The forum is designed to bridge the gap between groundbreaking research and commercial application, bringing together 150 senior health system executives, medtech founders, investors, and policy influencers.
Medlantic arrives as the health care industry experiences significant growth. Global medtech revenues reached $584 billion in 2025, according to industry reports, with expectations for continued expansion. With 71 acute care hospitals and a robust ecosystem of innovators, the Mid-Atlantic region—and specifically New Jersey—is positioned to be a primary driver of this evolution.
“The Mid-Atlantic region is already a global leader in generating the next generation of health care solutions,” Dr. Michael Kirchhoff, chief innovation officer at Cooper University Health Care, said. “The Medlantic MedTech Showcase will provide the connective tissue needed to translate those ideas into scalable products and services.”
Medlantic is designed for high-impact networking and collaboration. Its “Startup Founder Package” is specifically curated to help early-stage medtech and AI companies compress months of relationship-building into a single day, offering direct access to decision-makers who can help bring new technologies to market.
“Medlantic was designed to meaningfully connect medtech startups with investors and strategic partners,” Dr. Neal Lemon, associate vice president of innovation at Cooper University Health Care and Rowan University, said. “Given the depth of innovation already present in the Mid-Atlantic, this region is positioned for accelerated growth—and Medlantic is built to help catalyze that momentum.”
